Calibration PosiChek is the only breathing machine that meets the stringent requirements specified by NFPA 1852. NFPA 1852 mandates that all compliant SCBA must be tested on a calibrating breathing machine at least once per year after being put into service. Cylinder Requalification Requalification of SCBA cylinders is required by DOT and NFPA 1852 with a frequency that depends on the design of the cylinder. The SCBA cylinder requalification process includes an internal and external visual inspection. All-metal cylinders are requalified every 5 years and composite cylinders need to be requalified every 3 years.
